Designing for the Way You Live, Not Just the Way Your Space Looks

"Beauty is the result, not the goal."
Most designers jump straight into floor plans and inspiration boards. We begin somewhere more important: your life — how you move, what slows you down, and what needs to feel easier.
A space should support your routines, reflect your values, and make daily living feel more effortless.
Our Studio
We're a boutique interior design studio based in Sierra Madre, California nestled in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains. We serve clients throughout Sierra Madre, Pasadena, Altadena, San Marino, Arcadia, Bradbury, La Cañada, and surrounding communities. Being local isn't just convenient; it means we know your neighborhood, your building codes, your contractor options, and what actually works in your home.

Design Philosophy
We see every space as more than a place to live. It is a sanctuary for the mind and spirit.

Our Founder
Chanova Design was born in February 2025 after a life-changing moment during the Eaton Fire. I evacuated for 7 days, not knowing if anything would be left. When I returned and saw that over 80 homes in my neighborhood had been destroyed — and mine had somehow survived — everything shifted. It reminded me how much home matters. Not just the walls, but the feeling of safety and belonging. That experience pushed me to finally start the studio I’d always dreamed of — one built on intention, resilience, and purposeMy background blends creative and strategic expertise. I hold a Bachelor's in Graphic Design from Boston University, an Interior Design Certificate from UCLA Extension, and a Master’s in Interior Architecture from Cal Poly Pomona. I’ve worked with top real estate agents at Compass on luxury homes throughout Pasadena and the Foothills, and later joined Gensler’s strategy team, where I was selected from over 300 applicants worldwide for an elite design program. But honestly, what matters most to me is helping people find peace at home and navigate the renovation process without feeling overwhelmed. I love inspiring others to live more mindfully and creating spaces that feel grounding and supportive in everyday life.Chanova Design isn’t just my work — it’s my way of creating calm, intentional spaces for the community I feel deeply connected to.
